EUFEPS Workshop: Presentation of PubPharm and the Narrative Service

On June 27th, the Specialised Information Service Pharmacy (SIS, in German Fachinformationsdienst Pharmazie) presented the drug-centred search platform PubPharm and the Narrative Service to all interested parties of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS).

In the online workshop, the various PubPharm functions were demonstrated using search examples, e.g., the structure search capability. Furthermore, PubPharm’s Narrative Service was introduced, which enables a precise and variable-structured literature search allowing users to specify the relationships between different pharmaceutical concepts (including active ingredients, dosage forms, plant families, targets, and laboratory methods). The latest extension of this service is the generation of structured drug overviews containing, among others, information on the indication, dosage forms, targets and data from ChEMBL.
