More information is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/pi-post\/fachinformationsdienst-pharmazie-deutschlandweiter-service-fuer-die-universitaere-pharmazeutische-forschung\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the press release<\/a> (in German).<\/p>\n<h2>Looking back to the year 2020<\/h2>\n<p>In the past year, we have continuously optimised our central service \u2013 the drug-centred search platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pubpharm.de\/vufind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PubPharm<\/a> \u2013 in terms of content and function. For example, the innovative suggestion function for drug substances developed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifis.cs.tu-bs.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Institute for Information Systems (IfIS)<\/a> has been extended. Searching for diseases\/symptoms also returns context-related substances, diseases\/symptoms and genes. Besides various activities, the SIS Pharmacy supports <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pubpharm.de\/en\/2020\/07\/16\/innovative-tools-developed-by-sis-pharmacy-support-covid-19-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19 research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since the beginning of 2020,<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pubpharm.de\/en\/2020\/10\/22\/further-preprints-available-in-pubpharm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> preprints<\/a> from subject-relevant archives have been continuously integrated into PubPharm. Moreover, PubPharm provides now information on pharmacy-related <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pubpharm.de\/en\/2020\/06\/30\/patents-in-pubpharm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">patents<\/a> from the European Patent Office. The implemented new <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pubpharm.de\/en\/2020\/12\/01\/new-pubpharm-version\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PubPharm version<\/a> will facilitate the connection and integration of novel functionalities and services in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The SIS Pharmacy is licensing academic journals and offers full-text access to pharmaceutical scientists in Germany. This services could be expanded in 2020 to include <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pubpharm.de\/en\/2020\/03\/06\/fid-licences-new-journals-available\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">three new journals<\/a> from the Taylor &amp; Francis publishing house: \u201eJournal of Biopharmaceutical Statistics\u201c, \u201eJournal of Essential Oil Research (JEOR)\u201c und \u201eJournal of Herbs, Spices &amp; Medicinal Plants\u201c. The SIS Pharmacy also actively promotes Open Access Publishing and offers consulting and support services in this area.
