Entity facts are either manually curated, or for higher scalability automatically harvested from large volumes of text documents. <\/span><span class=\"\">However, even if the extraction process would be 100% correct, the promise of pervasive information fusion within retrieval tasks poses serious threats with respect to the results\u2019 validity. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In this context, our colleague <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifis.cs.tu-bs.de\/staff\/hermann-kroll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hermann Kroll<\/a> from the Institute for Information Systems presented his <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/chapter\/10.1007\/978-3-030-54956-5_3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">current research activities<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/eric.univ-lyon2.fr\/adbis-tpdl-eda-2020\/tpdl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">24<sup>th<\/sup> International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries<\/a> (TPDL). This took place virtually from August 25<sup>th<\/sup> to 27<sup>th<\/sup>.
